We are pleased to invite you to an engaging half-day seminar on the latest discoveries in the gut microbiome field.

The seminar will feature an opening lecture by Professor Oluf Borbye Peders as well as presentations from early-career researchers highlighting new perspectives on host–microbe interactions.

Professor Oluf Borbye Pedersen
“Mechanisms by which the gut microbiome contributes to cardiometabolic health and disorders”
Drawing on recent findings, including a publication in Nature Microbiology, Professor Pedersen will present novel insights into polypeptides produced by gut microbes and their role in host physiology.

  • Andreas Koulouktsis with a talk on how engineered gut microbes can be leveraged to curb metabolic diseases
  • Sune K. Yang-Jensen with a talk about how gut health can shape lung health during inflammation

  • Julius Emil Brink will share their latest work on how intestinal pH can affect bacterial metabolite production.
  • Jie Jiang will talk about key bacteria and environmental factors associated with the restoration of the infant gut microbiome after cesarean section.
